I still can't believe this was made in 1968 - the colors, the lighting, the sets. this could have been made in the modern era and you wouldn't have known.
I can't imagine how difficult it would have been to "invent" all these ideas as I don't think these things were done ever before. I wonder how much this movie influenced some details in things that we see today.
